Melissa Smith, Executive Director
A proud graduate of Wayne Memorial High School, Melissa Smith brings both personal connection and professional dedication to her work in stewarding innovative projects and supporting instruction through grants in WWCSD.
With a background spanning early childhood & K-12 public education and nonprofit program management, Melissa is driven to help educators foster resilience, cultivate environments where students can thrive, and build strategies that elevate both teaching and learning.
In her role as Executive Director, she focuses on strengthening community partnerships and increasing the Foundation’s capacity to deliver resources directly to classrooms across Wayne-Westland Community Schools.
